Dr. Sanjay Singh is a distinguished investigative journalist, author, lawyer, researcher and academician. He is widely recognized for exposing the Telgi Fake Stamp Scam, a landmark investigation that inspired the Sony LIV hit series Scam 2003: The Telgi Story. His book, Telgi Scam: Reporter’s Diary (HarperCollins), served as the foundation for the series created by Hansal Mehta & Applause Entertainment.

Throughout his 30 year long career, Sanjay has held senior editorial leadership roles at India’s premier news networks, including NDTV, Times Now, CNN-IBN, Zee News, and News X. Beyond journalism, he is a prolific author of true-crime bestsellers such as CIU: Criminals in Uniform (HarperCollins), Ek Thi Sheena Bora (Rajkamal Prakashan) and Ranga–Billa: Nation Ambushed (HarperCollins) . His work has caught the attention of major production houses like White Feather Films and Abbas-Mustan, with several projects based on his books are currently in production.

A scholar as well as a storyteller, Dr. Singh holds a PhD and an LLB. He serves as a visiting faculty member and Board of Studies advisor for various prestigious universities. In recognition of his immense contribution to literature and journalism, he was honored with the Maharashtra State Sahitya Academy Lifetime Achievement Award.

His upcoming work with Penguin explores the life of a forgotten Dalit cricketing legend, bridging the historical legacies of Mahatma Phule and Babasaheb Ambedkar.
